5 Tips To Improve Your Recruiting Team's Productivity

By

While you’re already working hard to increase your recruiting team’s productivity, it will take some time till the results show up. In the meantime, we are here to speed that process up and help you and your team achieve recruiting targets without losing your mind.

1. Leverage your candidate pool
As a recruiter, keep a well-documented and organized candidate database. Considering the time and efforts you and your team will spend in sourcing and screening the candidates, the selection ratio would be small. Organize the candidates who weren’t selected but could fit a different job in similar domain for future use. It will be helpful to even tag them with a specific keyword in order to simplify your search in future.

2. Set short term and long term goals
Metrics shouldn’t be the only consideration to measure success. We recommend having a goal and a system in place to keep track performance of individual members or smaller groups. Set goals for conversion rates, candidate progress, average number of days a candidate spends in each stage etc. Once you have data for 4 weeks, you can set relevant and realistic short term goals for the future. Long term goals should be a way to bring everyone together at the same calibre. Some of the long term goals could be time-to-hire, cost-to-hire and so on.

3. Use a single interface like Ctalk
Our dashboard allows team admins to see insights of individual members in the team. With Ctalk, a recruiter can stay up-to-date with all the candidate data available on the platform. We truly understand the pain of switching from app to app and device to device just to look for that one resume or a job. We couldn't be more excited about the revolution we're bringing to the hiring industry! Ctalk is a tool that happens to delight our recruiters and we will continue to evolve it to make your hiring experience even better.

4. Automate routine tasks
Automating repetitive and boring tasks would serve as a boon to your recruitment team’s time. Here are some ideas on the tasks you can automate:
- Resume screening
- Organizing Candidate Records
- Candidate Engagement
- Job board and LinkedIn postings etc

5. Streamline your interview process

Create a consistent candidate evaluation template that you can customize for each position you're hiring for. Before you start looking for candidates, chat to hiring managers to create a candidate persona — what are the job requirements and who do they want in the position? Then, come up with questions that elicit the attributes they mention. This, along with interviewer training, can improve your time-to-hire, minimize lost employee productivity as a result of a prolonged interview process, and make it easier to identify the best candidates for the job.

All the points listed above might seem a lot to do, but this is what will eventually benefit you and your team in the long run. You're providing yourself and your recruiting team the power and resources they need to perform better by applying the tips above. After all, greatness breeds excellence and this encourages everyone in your talent sourcing firm.

All the best and happy hiring!
